If you are interested in declaring a Psychology major, you should make an appointment with an advisor in the Academic Affairs Office of the Department of Psychology (124 Heyne Building, 713-743-8508). The advisor will answer your questions and concerns and will review the requirements for the major. The advisor and you will sketch out a curriculum plan, based on University-wide Core Curriculum choices, College of Social Sciences guidelines and Department of Psychology Guidelines. The advisor will alert you to important milestones and deadlines. Most important, the advisor will explain when you may file a Degree Plan for Majoring in Psychology. See the BA/BS Checklist.
