If you are interested in declaring a Psychology major, you should make an appointment with an advisor in the Academic Affairs Office of the Department of Psychology (124 Heyne Building, 713-743-8508). The advisor will answer your questions and concerns and will review the requirements for the major. The advisor and you will sketch out a curriculum plan, based on University-wide Core Curriculum choices, College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences guidelines, and Department of Psychology Guidelines. The advisor will alert you to important milestones and deadlines. Most important, the advisor will explain when you may file a Degree Plan for Majoring in Psychology. See the BA/BS Checklist.
