Science is the only human institution capable of capturing knowledge of the material universe, including psychological processes. I study the properties of science and how and why it works as well as its limitations. I then apply the theory and methodology of interdisciplinary science to the solution of two of the most profound social problems: disaster mitigation and child maltreatment. |
