Dr. Neighbors will be joining the University of Houston Psychology faculty in January, 2010, and will be accepting graduate students for the 2010 Fall semester. Dr. Neighbors’ work focuses on social and motivational influences in etiology, prevention, and treatment of health and risk behaviors. Outcomes of interest include alcohol and substance abuse, problem gambling, body image and eating disorders, intimate partner violence and aggressive driving. Support for this research has been provided by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Mental Health, and the Department of Defense. |
