The Center for Forensic Psychology at the University of Houston is dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge in psycholegal issues and focuses on researching and developing state-of-the-art practices in psycholegal consultation. The article "Evaluating Emotional Injuries in Civil Litigation: Not All Mental Health Experts are Created Equal," written by John P. Vincent, Scott A. Lemond and Tonya Inman in the March/April 2008 issue of Houston Lawyer received a Houston Bar Foundation award for best legal article appearing in Houston Lawyer in 2008-2009, as selected by the deans of three Houston law schools.
